Brass is a high maintenance metal and it will always get tarnished with time. Please follow the below instructions to keep the shine intact & delay the tarnishing process.
1. Clean the Brass
- All you need is warm water and mild dish soap. Use a soft, damp cloth to apply the soapy water, and clean it with a soft, clean cloth until all debris, dust, and dirt are gone.
2. Polish the Brass
- Use brass polish, easily available at supermarkets & hardware stores.
- Shake the bottle well and apply the polish using a soft, clean cloth and/or according to the instructions available on the polish.
- Leave it for 15-20 minutes then use a new clean microfiber cloth to remove the polish and buff it to a shine.
This process should be repeated at least once or twice every week. The tarnishing process is accelerated in areas with high moisture and/or during humid and rainy weather. You may adjust the frequency of cleaning and polishing accordingly.
For Marble items, please follow the below instructions to increase usage life.
- Always use a microfiber cloth for cleaning purposes.
- Clean up spills on marble immediately after they occur. If they are not cleaned up quickly, stains and etching can occur. Even if it is water, be sure to wipe it off after use as marble is an absorbent.
- Use approved marble cleaners that are designed specifically for marble cleaning. Ordinary household cleaners can contain acids and can etch the marble surface.
- Do not place hot items right off a stove or out of an oven directly on the surface. Use trivets or mats under hot dishes and placemats under objects that can scratch the surface.
